    Andy,

You’re a life saver. One of my projects today is to figure out how to record a Skype call. You did that for me in under 8 minutes. Now I can move on to something else.

    Thank you for sharing.

Oh yes, IMTC twice a month would be great.

    Bob

Glad you found it useful, Bob. One of my pals, Ciaran Rogers, told me about Wiretap for Mac – might be worth taking a look if you don’t want the spaghetti of wires approach, or only have one computer.

Hey Andy, I’m also based in Brighton and just creating a podcast for the business. A bought a alexis mixer hoping it would be easy that way and its a nightmare as other youtube videos talks about mix minus and needing an external recorder instead of PC! I’m going to see if i can use the imic with a mixer and pc, but its all rather confusing. When are you hoping to complete the book?

Anthony – you’ve inspired another post about *live mixing*. This is a style of podcast production where everything is mixed in real time as it is recorded rather than the separate parts being recorded first then mixed in post production. You need a mixer for this. Leo Laporte and Cliff Ravenscraft take this approach.
Did you get the mixer because you wanted to do Skype recording? Anyway, you can always contact me for some advice – email is andy at wireworldmedia.co.uk
